How's it going?

I can't believe we are already four months into 2016, but it certainly does not feel this way. Never has time acted so paradoxically–my body tells me this semester has just started, but my mind is already in New York.

I refuse to acknowledge its only been four days after getting pranked half a dozen times; three days after shooting around Chinatown, Little India, and Clementi; two days after security shooed me off private property for photographing workers; one day after drinking with a stranger; twelve hours after finally falling into deep sleep since mid-March; six hours after starting this blog post; and three seconds since I pressed 'SAVE & PUBLISH.'

Today marks the one year anniversary of this website. I am so ecstatic about the progress that has been made. I remember sitting in my school's library at 7am for two consecutive weeks to put this all together. From the time I shared my portfolio with my mentor to launching this blog, I have continually pushed my boundaries in photography and writing. It is immensely satisfying to see all this come to fruition.

After much contemplation, I have begun to tailor my definition of photography–capturing ephemerality by breaking down the world into its most basic elements. This constant drive to encapsulate modernity and eternalize it compels me to take even more photographs, which has almost become an insatiable desire. I honestly hope this thirst never becomes fully quenched.

Let's keep passing around good vibes and strive for an even better year ahead.
